1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking accommodation, visiting, participating in activities, or using any facilities at Madre Cocoon (“the Retreat Center”), you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all guests, visitors, participants, facilitators, and collaborators using the space.
2. Nature of the Retreat Center
Madre Cocoon is a retreat center that offers accommodation, shared spaces, and environments for rest, artistic exploration, movement practices, workshops, and community gatherings.
The Retreat Center includes, but is not limited to, guest rooms, shared bathrooms, kitchen areas, outdoor spaces, the maloka, the pond, the sauna, and other communal areas. Guests may use these spaces respectfully and according to any guidelines communicated by the hosts.
3. Reservations and Accommodation
Reservations for rooms must be confirmed through the designated booking process.
Guests agree that:

Reservations are only confirmed once payment or deposit is received.

Check-in and check-out times must be respected unless otherwise agreed.

The number of guests per room must not exceed the agreed reservation.

Guests are responsible for maintaining rooms and facilities in reasonable condition during their stay.
Madre Cocoon reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings when necessary to maintain the safety and wellbeing of the space.
4. Use of Facilities
Guests may have access to shared facilities including the kitchen, pond, sauna, maloka, gardens, and other common spaces.
By using these facilities, guests agree to:

Use all areas responsibly and with care

Follow any posted safety instructions

Leave shared spaces clean after use

Respect the quiet and rest of other guests
Use of facilities such as the pond and sauna involves inherent risks. Guests assume responsibility for their own safety when using these areas.
5. Activities and Workshops
Madre Cocoon may host classes, workshops, retreats, or artistic gatherings facilitated by different organizers.
Participation in these activities is voluntary. Guests are responsible for assessing their own physical and emotional readiness for movement practices, meditation, or other activities offered within the space.
Madre Cocoon and its facilitators are not responsible for injuries or health issues arising from participation.
6. Respectful Conduct
Madre Cocoon aims to maintain a respectful, calm, and supportive environment.
All guests agree to:

Treat others with kindness and respect

Respect personal boundaries and consent

Care for the natural environment and the facilities

Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or discriminatory behavior
The Retreat Center reserves the right to ask any guest to leave if their behavior compromises the safety or wellbeing of others or the integrity of the space.
7. Kitchen Use
The shared kitchen may be available for guests to prepare food.
Guests agree to:

Clean all utensils and surfaces after use

Store personal food respectfully

Avoid leaving food waste or clutter in shared areas
8. Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings. Madre Cocoon is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
9. Safety and Health
Guests are responsible for their personal health and safety while staying at the Retreat Center and using its facilities, including outdoor and natural areas.
Madre Cocoon cannot guarantee a risk-free environment and guests assume responsibility for their participation in all activities and use of facilities.
10. Media and Documentation
Photos or videos may occasionally be taken during retreats, events, or gatherings for documentation or promotional purposes. Guests may notify the hosts if they prefer not to appear in such media.
11. Damage to Property
Guests may be held responsible for any damage caused to rooms, facilities, or property belonging to the Retreat Center.
12. Changes to Services
Madre Cocoon may adjust accommodations, facilities, programming, or services when necessary. Reasonable efforts will be made to inform guests of relevant changes.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Madre Cocoon and its team are not liable for injuries, accidents, losses, or damages occurring during a guest’s stay or participation in activities at the Retreat Center.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the applicable laws of Colombia.
